Academics

Pharo School Homosha transforms the lives of its students, staff, and volunteers. Our innovative boarding school’s student enrolment is intentionally small to provide high-quality, empowering, and meaningful education for secondary school-aged young female students in the Benishangul Gumuz region, Ethiopia.

The school provides a fully-funded 4-year secondary education and boarding experience to female students. Our small class sizes, well-resourced facility, dedicated team of educators, and small volunteer base accelerate student learning and English skills development, life skills, and career development while building confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The school’s goal is to see each student pursue post-secondary education and become leaders and role models in their respective communities.

Curriculum Implementation

Pharo School Homosha follows the Ethiopian national curriculum and adopts aspects of British/International education into the teaching and learning. The students sit for post-Grade 12 Ethiopian national examinations, as well as the GL (Granada Learning) assessments due to its world-known robust academic and cognitive evaluation.
