About

In September 2020, Pharo School Assosa opened its doors to primary level students (grade 1 -4) and enrolled 168 students. The school has continued to expand its grade levels and enrolment capacity each year and currently serves over 600 students at primary and secondary school level. 

The school focuses on key components of quality that collectively contribute to positive educational outcomes and holistic development of students. These components include a quality curriculum, quality teachers, quality pedagogy, a quality school environment and quality school leadership. Our student/teacher ratio is 20, which allows us to deliver all of these aspects of a quality education.

We take pride in embracing the values of respect, excellence, curiosity, creativity, and responsibility in our school. We instil these values in our students, encourage them to become lifelong learners, create a high quality learning experience and encourage our pupils to be productive global citizens.

The results of our approach are particularly evident in the strength which our pupils have developed in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. For the second year running, our primary school pupils have won the Technology and Innovation Competition of Benishangul-Gumuz state.
