Results
The school takes various exams at the end of each academic year. This is where the school's overall academic performance is measured. The school takes part in the following exams each year:
- Somaliland national exams for year 8 students
- School exam for every grade at the end of each academic year
- Pharo Sheikh Secondary School entrance exam for year 8 graduates
The school's performance has significantly increased during the tenure of the Pharo Foundation:
- From 2018/19 to 2022/23, school year graduate averages improved from 57% to 69% for the Somaliland National Exams.
- Each year, around 60 students graduate from our grade 8 class. Amongst them, some will go to Sheikh Secondary School as they finish year 8. However, out of Sheikh’s total new intake of 70 students, 10 of them are reserved for Sheikh City students, and Pharo Primary students have to compete for the remaining 60 spaces with over 250 students from across Somaliland.
