Pharo Foundation is a private organisation based in the United Kingdom. Since 2011, the  Foundation has been working to help improve people’s livelihoods with an emphasis on economic self-reliance and job creation in the Horn of Africa. The Foundation is supporting projects in four main pillars which are: education, health, water, and agriculture.

The Foundation is currently working in Somaliland, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Kenya, which serves as the regional hub. We are passionate about creating impact and transformational change in our countries of operation. Our focus is on long-term development work rather than short-term humanitarian relief.

In Somaliland, Ethiopia and Rwanda, Pharo Foundation’s education pillar is implemented through Pharo-brand schools, ranging from kindergarten, primary, secondary and vocational training.
