Pharo School Homosha
Welcome Note
At Pharo School Homosha, the students come first. Bringing out the best in each student is our constant aim. We believe that students should receive a broad, balanced, and student-centred education. This will develop an effective combination of creativity, confidence, and courtesy, which will equip our young global citizens to cope with the demands of life in the 21st century, wherever they may live in the world. In today’s rapidly changing and challenging world we believe it to be the school’s primary task to foster in its community a life-long love of learning and a sense of responsible citizenship.
I am incredibly proud of the work done at our school and I sincerely look forward to helping you learn more about how a Pharo School Homosha education fits with the academic, spiritual, and personal goals you have for your daughter. Please take a moment to call the school and schedule a visit to see what our school has to offer!

History
In 2016, when The Pharo Foundation assessed the socio-economic context of the region, the secondary gross enrolment rate for girls was only 45.7%. Even lower (32%) for girls from certain communities in the region. The gender parity index (GPI) was 0.8% indicating more boys’ participation than girls.
The Pharo Foundation on July 2nd, 2017, held a colourful ground-breaking ceremony for the Pharo School Homosha graced by H.E. Ashadle Ahmed President of the regional government, and Mr Guillaume Fonkenell, founder and chairman of The Pharo Foundation trustees. This marked the beginning of transforming 16 hectares of land into a 250-capacity state-of-the-art full-board girls’ school. Pharo School Homosha was established in 2018 and officially inaugurated on February 29, 2020.
